About the event
Carly Quigg has been playing harp for 20 years. While a student at Springfield Public School, Carly began taking lessons on a small, 26 string Celtic harp. Once in high school, she moved to a 46 string pedal harp. Carly attended Wilfrid Laurier University and obtained a Bachelor of Music specializing in both performance and education. While there, she was the principal harpist for the WLU Symphony Orchestra, performed for community symphonies, as well as in a chamber group. She went on to York University for her Bachelor of Education in order to fulfill a life long dream of being a music teacher. Currently, Carly is in her third year of being an Elementary School music teacher while teaching private piano and harp lessons in the evening. Carly enjoys performing at weddings, receptions and house concerts. Come and meet Carly and take in her variety of musical offerings. Doors open at 7:00pm and concert begsins at 8:00pm.
